Forge on Friday is an opportunity for you to work in our workshop. You can work our class project or you can rent some open forge time.

Forge on Friday is  1pm to 6pm, every Friday, unless we are traveling to a blacksmithing event.

For you to take advantage of Forge on Friday our insurance requires that you to attend our “Introduction to Blacksmithing” class. This class is taught every first and third Saturday at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida. The $85 introduction is also occasionally taught at Traditions Workshop, usually upon request but dependent on how many people we have signed up for a class.

Open forge time is available at $15/hour, charged in 1 hour increments. If you stick around to help clean up the last hour is discounted to $5. However, it is best to call or text (850-974-1548) prior to showing up to be sure we have room (our limit is 4 people) and will not be at some blacksmithing event. Also, check our class schedule on Square to see what class we are offering the week you want to join us.

Our class prices (usually $65/day) include all the materials you will need, including fuel, steel and tools. A typical class lasts +/- 4 hours and each class is designed to help you improve a specific aspect of your blacksmithing. The class schedule is on our Square Store page here.
